PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION No Dark Slide Cycle (contd) No S1 response 9. Battery contact height marginal or not seated properly. lO.Flex circuit defective. 1. Defective S-l button or S-l slider. 2. S1 slider and contact support block not interfaced properly. 3. S1 switch contacts deformed (do not close). 4. Poor connection between flex circuit and solenoid. 5. S9 is closed (check with meter). NOTE: In this failure, camera will cycle but blades remain closed. 6. Solenoid defective (should read 2 to 3 ohms). 9. Replace battery contacts. 10.Replace flex circuit 1. Replace Sl button or S1 slider. 2. Disassemble and install properly. 3. Re-form S-1 contacts or replace contact support block if necessary. 4. Check connection and correct problem. 5. Re-form S-9 contacts or replace contact support block, if necessary. 6. Replace solenoid. Continuous Cycle (Camera ejects film continuously) 1. Pack pawl override 2. Solenoid gap incorrect. 3. Shutter blades binding: a. Foreign matter on blades. b. Blades distorted. c. Blades not attached to walking beam. 4. Blade guide pin in shutter baseblock broken 5. Shutter latch binding. 6. Solenoid plunger sticky. 1. See RIB #600AM 6. 2. Adjust solenoid gap. 3. Repair or replace blades as necessary. 4. Replace shutter baseblock. 5. Correct cause of binding. 6. Repair/replace solenoid.
